APPLICATIONS AND NOMINATIONS FOR SCAG 2019/2020

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

RE: REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS AND NOMINATIONS

Having carefully read through your petition to the SCAG electoral commission through the PRO, I wish to bring to your attention few facts.

1. It will be the wish of the SCAG electoral commission to extend the closing date for the nomination but the commission does not work in isolation. The activities of the SCAG electoral commission is guided by the SRC electoral commission.

2. Per the constitutional instrument (C.l) guiding the 2019 elections, the closing date should have been 22nd April but SCAG electoral commission sort an extended date for its department. This request was granted and 2 days extension was given to only our department. Any further extension will be a violation of the SRC constitution.

Any person who wish to apply for any of the positions but might not be able to meet the deadline should kindly contact the electoral commissioner to see the way forward.

All members of this department are to follow the link below to validate their details in the voter's register

WOI

WORDS OF INTUITION (WOI)
PHILEO FAMILY
APRIL EDITION, 2019

If there is nothing you are willing to die for, then I submit you have nothing to live for. – Chuck Colson.

You may live your life to the full if you make constant struggles to succeed. Every individual must have a dream for which he or she must die. Without this attitude, success and confidence which produce joy aren’t within reach and your life will be damaged.
Do you have an aim, a dream or an aspiration? I hope you do. Let this never slip out of your memory that an aimless life is misery; a life devoid of rich plans, desire, ambitions, projections, purposes, sound decisions or deep-seated convictions is “brutish and short” to borrow a phrase from George Orwell’s Animal Farm. This is an unpalatable revelation, yet it is a real truth. If you’re bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, you increase your happiness. Do you want to become a star or a victim?  A winner or a loser? Rich or poor? You can avoid world-weariness if you punctuate your life with lofty dreams and worthy plans.

Life, you must know, is lived with plans, credible attitudes and concrete principles, else forget it. You can’t make it! Success wouldn’t smile on you if you sit with arms akimbo hoping that a magic will work for you. If you want to be a farmer, your dream worth it. Execute it today and your success is assured tomorrow. Be quick! Translate your dreams into realities and you’re sure to make it to the top.

What dream do you have? What determination do you make? Perhaps, you want to become an athlete, a writer, a teacher, a counsellor, a painter or a doctor. These dreams aren’t bad. They can change your life for the better.
An author wrote: “Indeed, your dream determines your place, moulds your destiny and make your future. If you have no dream, then you have no future. If your dream is small, then you are small. If you dream of mediocrity, then you are a mediocre. If your dream is great, then you are great. If your dream is supernatural, then you are supernatural.”
If you really pursue your dreams with all the seriousness they deserve, you’ll never lag behind in development. Don’t say I had these plans but I later on changed or abandoned them. You have to motivate yourself. Your dreams are your dreams. They give you hope and make you feel complete, confident, self-assured, comfortable and joyful if you work towards them with diligence.
Are you ready to tell a sad story in the future? Do you want to lead a wretched life: a life replete with pain, troubles, anger or frustration? Become a life –maker by having workable dreams. Don’t let the other person live your life for you because you have no goals or aspirations in life. Dreams are powerful tools that become contribute to our everyday success stories. Successful people didn’t begin life because they had to.  They made sound and impressive decisions earlier. Do just that and you’ll sing choruses of success. May your path not be rough as you execute your dreams. I’ll therefore say with Eleanor Doan that,” You have to stay awake to make dreams come true.”
